While gender is a sensitive issue, I don’t think that’s harmful to non-male data scientists. I believe that it is always better to have the facts and the data.

After all — we wouldn’t know about the extent of gender inequality without the data on it, right?

I really did not want to sweep this important information under the rug, victoriously announcing the data scientist profession is gender neutral. Because it isn’t.

Certainly we could be politically correct and omit the gender, but that would erode the value of the research.
